Community

Bring a community to life, at the heart of your app

Your users share their progress, help each other and react to your announcements without leaving the app. They come back more often, and stay longer.

The community feed in the appwin dashboard: posts, a pinned poll and a member profile
Features

Everything you need to run your community

A native feed in your app, tools to post as your brand, and moderation that keeps working at night.

A native feed, organized in groups

Posts, comments, reactions, images and polls, sorted into groups. The SDK renders the feed natively, in your app's colors.

Post as your brand

Create posting profiles for your team, schedule your announcements, pin them at the top of the feed and let your members know with a push.

AI-assisted moderation

Every post is checked before it goes live. Doubtful content goes to review, the rest is published right away.

A feed that looks like your app

Primary colour, gradient, light or dark mode, corner radius and font: the feed takes on your app’s identity, set from the dashboard, without a new release.

Dashboard

Manage your feed from the dashboard

Posts, drafts and scheduled posts, filtered by group or date. Reply, pin or hide a post in one click.

Moderation

Stay in control of what gets posted

AI checks every post against your community rules. Doubtful content, or content your members report, stays hidden until your team approves or removes it.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about in-app communities

A social feed built into your app: your users post, comment, react and help each other without leaving the app. Your team posts its announcements there and moderates from the dashboard.

An external community takes your users out of the app, and you control neither the experience nor the data. In the app, every visit to the community is one more session, and you know who your most active members are.

Automatic moderation checks every post and comment before it goes live. Members can report content, which is hidden automatically after several reports. Your team then decides: remove, warn, shadow ban or ban.

Yes. Create posting profiles (a coach, the brand, the product team) and post from the dashboard. You can schedule a post, pin it at the top of the feed and let your members know with a push.

Install the Community module of the appwin SDK (iOS, Android, Flutter or React Native), then show the feed in a tab or full screen. Colors, groups and rules are then set from the dashboard, without releasing a new version. The community guide walks through each step.

For a community that lives inside your mobile app, yes: feed, groups, polls, profiles, moderation and statistics. And it sits next to your support, your notifications and your analytics, around the same users.
Guide

Launching your app's community the right way

Don't launch an empty feed

Post yourself for the first few weeks: a question, a poll, an announcement. An empty feed puts off the first member who wants to write.

Start with a few groups

Two or three groups are enough at first. One lively group beats ten silent ones.

Reply to the first posts

A member who gets a reply comes back. React quickly to the first posts, especially questions.

Notify the important posts

An important announcement deserves a notification. But beware of spam: don’t notify every post.

Track the effect on retention

Compare members with other users: sessions, time spent, retention. That's what shows your effort is paying off.
