FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Revenue

The module that brings your app’s revenue and its acquisition spend together: MRR, subscribers, LTV, campaigns, ROAS and real profit, on dashboards you build.

Revenue and subscriptions come from RevenueCat, ad spend from your TikTok and Meta accounts. appwin never mixes what networks report with what it observes itself.

No. appwin puts your spend next to your revenue without a third-party attribution tool. If you already use Adjust, it can be added for the spend side.

From your revenue received, your acquisition spend and your users’ LTV, which you can adjust. It is an estimate, flagged as such on screen.

A new purchase arrives almost immediately by webhook. Spend for the current day stays partial for a few hours, while the networks consolidate it.

Connect RevenueCat to your project, then your ad accounts if you wish. The Revenue guide covers the metrics and building dashboards.
Guide

Steering your app’s profitability

Don’t judge a campaign by its CPI

A campaign that brings in lots of cheap installs isn’t necessarily profitable. What matters is what those users bring in: compare the revenue generated to the spend, campaign by campaign.

Set a maximum acquisition cost

From your LTV, work out how much you can pay to acquire a user, and never go above it.

Test your price and your paywall

Price is one of the most underrated levers. A few euros more, or an annual plan put forward, can move your MRR far more than a new acquisition channel.

Watch churn from the first month

Most subscribers leave at the first renewal. A spike in cancellations early in the cycle often points to a problem with perceived value or with what the paywall promises.

Think in net profit

Once store fees (15 to 30%), refunds and ad spend are taken out, the figure that matters is what actually lands in your account. That’s what tells you whether your growth is healthy.
